Restore your paints shine by removing the imperfections
Remove The Swirls and Get The Most Gloss and Clarity From Your Paint
Professional Paint Correction in Patterson, CA – Restore Your Vehicle’s Shine
At Gentry’s Elite Detailing in Patterson, CA, paint correction is all about removing swirls, scratches, and imperfections to bring out the deepest gloss and clarity in your vehicle’s paint. Depending on your goals, we can eliminate anywhere from 65% to 90% of the visible defects using our intensive 2-step paint correction process—which includes both cutting and polishing stages.
Not all imperfections can be safely removed. Deep scratches or certain blemishes may be too severe or located in areas where the clear coat is too thin to polish. In these cases, we use our expertise to make careful, informed decisions to maintain the health and integrity of your vehicle’s paint.
Whether we spend 5 hours or 20 hours perfecting your vehicle’s finish, the approach depends entirely on what you want to achieve. We’re here to guide you through the process and deliver results that align with your expectations.
Even brand-new vehicles in Patterson—sometimes just months off the lot—often need paint correction. Before arriving at the dealership, vehicles go through transportation, multiple washes, handling, and storage. This can introduce swirl marks, scratches, and surface marring that take away from that showroom finish.
Investing in professional paint correction in Patterson is a long-term commitment to your vehicle’s appearance. After the service is complete, maintaining proper wash techniques is key to preserving the flawless finish. Without the right care, swirls and scratches can reappear quickly—even after just a few washes.
As the most labor-intensive service in auto detailing, paint correction can take anywhere from 8 to 15+ hours depending on your vehicle’s condition, paint type, and desired outcome. But the results are worth it: a mirror-like shine that turns heads in Patterson and beyond.

Paint Correction FAQ's
Do you offer Ceramic Coatings?
We sure do! This is a fantastic option to protect your paint from the weather. You can read more about our ceramic coatings here. You can also go with the traditional wax or sealant at no additional cost.
How long do the results last?
After the paint is corrected, the next phase is maintenance. Just like you have to change your oil every so many miles you will also have to properly (and routinely) wash and dry your vehicle moving forward to maintain the swirl-free finish of your paint. If not, your back to square one. Check out our maintenance plans here if you would prefer us to take care of it for you plus there are other perks as well to being a maintenance member.
Where are you located?
We are out of Patterson, CA but were a fully mobile detailing service which means we come to you. Whether your at home, work or apartment.
What tools and products do you use?
We use a wide range of machines, pads, polishes, compounds, cleaners, towels and lights that will be used to work on your vehicle. Every car will be different and will yield different methods and tools.
What’s the difference between a wax and a paint correction?
A wax does not remove any swirls or scratches from your paint. It only hides the very light swirls and can be completed in a couple of hours. Paint correction is actually going to remove the swirls in your paint. This is what makes the paint shine like crazy. It also takes a substantial amount of time and energy to complete. Usually one or two full days (depending on size, condition and desired results).
Can you restore my paint
This is going to depend on the condition of your paint. If the clear coat is failing, which can be visible cracks, or a very faded look then unfortunately there’s not much we can do. At this point the panel will have to be repainted.
That being said, there’s other times where the panel is completely oxidized, it looks too far gone, but with some polishing we can completely restore the gloss. This is why we prefer to inspect the vehicle in person.
